Sunday dinner

Lena's friend Laura (an exchange student from Spain) is sleeping over tonight and the kids are making dinner. All I know is it's German fare but the rest is top secret. I found out Laura loves to cook and does about three meals per week at her host home...so I am working on scheduling her for a night here of authentic Spanish food. This could work out well...

Making Mutzen

Here's Lena taking a break from writing a German paper to show me how to make one of her authentic German treats...Mutzen.  It's like a fancy donut hole...only better (and greasier).

After a nice dinner out with Mom, Dad, Kat and John, we had a hard time saying goodbye to our favorite redhead in the family. Great memories made, and until the next time!

The kids had a LOT of cousin time this week, they had a blast!

Paul's First Communion

We had a lovely evening mass during which Paul received his first Holy Communion. Afterwards, we returned to our house for dinner, gifts, cake, and fun. We are so grateful that Paul could celebrate this special day with his godparents, Uncle John and Aunt Kathleen. May God continue to bless Paul!
