Hannah's First Holy Communion

What a beautiful day! Godfather/Uncle Matt brought Lillian to share in the occasion. Sara and Chris made the trip out too. Thank you for coming and for the thoughts, gifts and prayers sent by all!

Art Show

The art show was last Friday. Here are some that were displayed by our in-house artists. One of Hannah's pieces (not pictured here) made it into Veritas, the school-wide booklet that is published at the end of the year. (This is her second year in a row being featured in it.)

Visit to Ridgeview

On Friday It was Kate's turn to shadow a kindergartener at Ridgeview. Our last time doing that visit ...hard to believe when I took Elizabeth for this event six years ago I was newly pregnant with Kate (and was also lugging two diaper clad kids...)  Sniff sniff...

Frozen

History was made on Saturday night, though it may not have made your local paper. Aaron went to the theatre to see the Academy Award winning film the kids have been asking to see: Frozen.

Paul's 7th birthday

We had a busy birthday with mass, donut helping after mass, religious ed, and the Paul had a friend here until dinner.  Paul got a new geared bike to cruise around on, plus a new fishing pole and tackle box to go with it. Happy #7 P-Man!

The night before his birthday I tried a new cake from the Food Network. I made a few adjustments but it turned out great. Four layers of sugar cookies and in between them, layers of a chocolate filling made with cocoa, heavy cream, sugar and mascarpone cheese (used for tiramisu). The adult version includes kahlua and espresso and is topped with dark chocolate shavings. That's next on my list, possibly this week for my mom's birthday.
