Aaron's 40th

It was indeed happy and we had a fun, full day. It started with a card parade of 40 cards taped throughout the house for Aaron to read when he woke up. It started at the stairs and ended in the kitchen.

Aaron is always taking the kids on surprise adventures so they decided it was his turn to be surprised. So we put him in the car at 10:30 and he had no idea where we were going. He was excited to learn that our destination was CSU's annual "Little Shop of Physics." They host this on campus and have at least a dozen rooms filled with hands-on science experiments and displays for kids and adults. It was packed with people and we spent about 90 minutes going through the rooms trying out different things.

Is this out of a Dr. Seuss book?

We then headed to a park where the big kids played 2 on 2 soccer with Aaron and I played with Kate at the park. We came home for lunch and some quiet time. (zzzz....)

Then the three big kids decided to make their own word search puzzles for Aaron. We will be e-mailing you  the puzzle Elizabeth created on the computer; (most of the words in the word bank are Greek) I am a pro at these puzzles but these are even slowing me down...

Paul helped me out with the traditional Cherry Pie

We had some darn good beer-battered cod with homemade fries for dinner and topped it off with Cherry Pie and ice cream. A great day with a lot to celebrate!

Cute kid shots

Just a few random shots of Kate and also Hannah with the new dog she occasionally walks...also named Hannah.
