Kate arrived in the kitchen just now wearing this crown. I have never seen it and have no idea where it came from, but it marks the day well: The last day of school before break (e.g. lots of parties and candy canes) AND jeans day!! (but no holes, wears, tears, rips, stains, penmarks, bleach marks, grass stains, jeggings, loose jean, jeans with chains, jeans with beltloops missing, tight jeans, or white jeans...otherwise your child will promptly receive a pink slip, be sent to Mr. Carpine and parents will be called in a nanosecond to bring you a pair of uniform pants).
